So How I Got Here...

So my name is Tom, and i've now been training for about 1 and a half years seriously. I have steadily been gaining weight over this time, much slower than others i'll admit but it has been constant. As many guys and girls out there will experience, having an ectomorph body type can prove gaining weight a little on the difficult side. Sucks aye! But through motivation, dedication and time any obstacle can be overcome.

I started training at home on some 4kg dumbells, then bought some 8kg dumbells, then bough a bench press and barbell and then weight plates and to be honest, training at home is a great place to make all the mistakes, get stuck in strange positions on the bench and realise that performing only bicep curls and situps isn't enough to truely reach your goals.

So as most people will, I got stuck into all the information available on the internet and learnt a heap of stuff from others who wer more experienced, 100 times stronger and who had qualifications.

It's all a learning game and one of trial and error, just listening to what works for others isn't enough, you have got to find out what works best for you!
